Last week I went to The Camera Store in calgary to buy some black and white film for my Holga and ended up leaving with a Polaroid and film for it as well! I’m really kinda loving it! I met up with a few other photographers last night and went on a short photo walk, all of us using some sort of film camera. Fun!

This session was a lot of fun and so relaxing. I’ve had the opportunity to spend time with this family before and I couldn’t wait to see them again to meet the newest addition to their family. You might recognize them from an urban shoot about a year or so ago. That red hair is quite unforgettable. I don’t know how they did it, but they have a brunette, a blonde and a red head! So awesome.

So I've been in business for just over 2 years now and am starting to have repeat newborn clients. What I mean by that is that clients that I worked with in the beginning are now adding new little additions to their family so I get to go back and see these new little sweeties!

I got to do just that a week or so ago to meet baby #2. I thought there might be some challenges with doing the same type of session in the same setting but everything went awesome!! Here's a little sneak for you E & R to tie you over 'til tomorrow when I get the gallery up.

I absolutely adore this one!! His little bum up in the air, looking so tiny curled up on Mommy & Daddy's bed. Melts my heart.

Seriously, could these 2 be any more gorgeous! This session was a little different than others I've done. First off, I think this was the dreariest day I've ever encountered during a session. I had to use my brain a little more to find some sweet light! lol C & S were up for anything and I had all sorts of ideas to do with them downtown but the weather was not on our side and everything got changed up last minute. At first this can seem like a bad thing and can be disappointing BUT honestly, this is when things can be the best!! When you just go with the flow and don't plan too much and make the best out of what you've got. This is the exact reason why I shoot the way I do….on location! This gives me a new background to shoot on at each and every session, it keeps me fresh and keeps me having to think and come up with new things. If it weren't like this I know I'd get bored and wouldn't enjoy what I do as much as I do.

So, after finding some sweet light in their home, we headed out and stopped at the Super Store on the way to grab an umbrella to keep off the rain. I'll let the images speak for themselves now.

C & S, thank you so much for going outside and enduring anything, for giving me full control and most of all for trusting in me. I'm so glad the rain came that day so we could get what we did. I can't wait to meet your little one!

The title says it all. Have I named a title that before? Maybe, but seriously, I am so fortunate to have the most gorgeous maternity clients. Makes my job so easy. The radiance of a pregnant woman is just so beautifully stunning. I can only hope that during, and after a session that my clients can see themselves that way as well.

K & R, thank you for allowing me to create these memories for you guys and I can't wait to meet your little peanut very soon!
