Because I’ve been working on the site and blog for so long, I’ve been horrible at actually posting anything.  In January, Bonnie Horseman, an amazing photographer and truly awesome friend of mine from Virginia flew to Canada to come and see me!  We met online 8 years ago when I was pregnant with my son and she was pregnant with her first daughter.  Somehow we both ended up becoming photographers and finally met last year at the WPPI conference in Vegas.  We had tons of fun doing a maternity session for her.  So the way it works when one photographer shoots another photographer is that the one shooting typically gets to do whatever they want!  I knew I had to do something fabulous and DIFFERENT!!  So I wanted to add a boudoir feel to the images….only thing is we didn’t shoot in a bedroom.  So we got up bright and early so she could go and have her hair and make-up done and then we drove a couple hours out to a little ghost town to do the shoot.  Remember I said it was January?…and that I got to do whatever I wanted?…well take note of what she was wearing….for 5 hours!…with very little heat in an abandoned building.  Can you say AWESOME!!! :)

The other great part is that my good friend Wei of Photobolic came shooting with me.  3 photographers hanging out and shooting for a day is loads of fun (at least to us hahaha)  If you’re in need of a truly talented wedding photographer take yourself on over to his site and soak it up!

A couple days later we took a drive out to Banff for the day for a girlie hang out day full of sight seeing, fun, laughs…and of course some more images. :)

Sweet baby Solana will be making her debut in 5 days (on the 15th of april) and I’m so excited to meet her!!!

And just to make this more fun I’m gonna share an image that is very special to me.  My sister had her baby 2 days ago and I was lucky enough to be there with her to witness and capture the birth.  More to come soon.

I’ve been working on a new site and it’s almost complete, just a couple small details to iron out….in the midst of things though, I’ve done something to the old site and now it isn’t working!  Ack!
